The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starostyak lands with a straight right. Johnson didn't see that one coming.
Johnson misses with a wild combination.
Johnson lands with a thumping leg kick.

Starostyak pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Starostyak closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Starostyak lands in his opponent's guard.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
Starostyak stops Johnson from standing up.
Starostyak is looking to stand up but Johnson won't let him.
Starostyak throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Starostyak keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.

Johnson thows a big elbow that misses.
Starostyak pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage.
Starostyak lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Johnson!
Starostyak looking to finish Johnson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Johnson!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Starostyak sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Johnson is looking to get to half guard.

Starostyak loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Johnson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Starostyak land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Starostyak stands and salutes the crowd.
