Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Waddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonnen comes to the cage accompanied by Animal ive become. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sonnen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Waddy on the ground.

Waddy drops back looking for a leg! Sonnen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sonnen manages to kick Waddy off! Waddy jumps back into Sonnen's guard.

Waddy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sonnen avoids it really well and circles away.

Waddy takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Waddy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sonnen passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sonnen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Waddy looks a forlorn figure.

Sonnen avoids the attempt from Waddy to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waddy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sonnen scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are battling for position here. Waddy manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Waddy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sonnen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Waddy has tightened it up now! Sonnen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
