Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johan Falk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Chaos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falk comes to the cage accompanied by Rise Against - But Tonight We Dance. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johan Falk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Chaos!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Chaos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Falk pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Chaos takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Falk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Falk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chaos keeps working.
Falk looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Falk trying to control the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Falk's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Chaos is looking for a sweep. Falk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Falk wants to pass to mount but Chaos is defending the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Falk works Chaos's body with a nice hook.
Falk cracks Chaos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Falk moves out of range of the body kick from Chaos.
Falk throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Chaos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chaos throws a head kick that misses.
Chaos wants to clinch up but Falk keeps it at a distance.
Falk lands with a straight right. Chaos didn't see that one coming.
Falk throws a low kick but Chaos avoids it.
Chaos tries to clinch there but Falk circles away.
Falk fails to land with a series of punches.
Falk throws a sloppy head kick

and Chaos counters by moving into the clinch.
Falk tries for a takedown. No joy.
Falk drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chaos pulls his leg out and moves away.
Falk throws a body kick that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Falk shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johan Falk. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Chaos counters with a series of strikes. Falk will be more careful next time no doubt.
Falk is breathing heavily.

Chaos gets the takedown into side control.


Falk is rocked!
Falk gets back to half guard.
Oh Falk is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chaos is controlling the pace.
Falk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Falk seems to have got his legs back now.
Falk is trying to stand up here but Chaos is controlling him well.

Chaos is trying to control. Falk wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Chaos missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Falk wants to control but Chaos is keeping busy.
Chaos is stalling here. Falk is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Chaos seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Falk has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chaos slips under a jab from Falk.
Falk walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Falk keeps the fight on the outside.
Falk throws a leg kick that is checked

so Chaos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Falk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chaos's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Chaos dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Chaos stuffs the takedown attempt from Falk. Falk gets slowly back to his feet.
Falk swats away the attempt to clinch by Chaos.
Falk walks into a left hand.

Falk shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Falk is looking to advance position but Chaos won't allow it.
Falk passes to full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chaos wants to control but Falk is having none of it.
Falk prevents Chaos from getting the reversal.
Falk takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Chaos tries to lock up and control but Falk gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Falk controlling from mount.
Falk seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chaos for as long as he can get away with.

Falk stands up from mount. Strange move.

Falk throws a head kick but Chaos moves out of range.
Falk throws a leg kick but Chaos sees it coming and checks it nicely.

and Chaos counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Chaos is breathing heavily.
Chaos wants to control but Falk is keeping him busy.
Falk is pressing down on Chaos's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Chaos thows a big elbow that misses.

Falk has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Chaos postures up in Falk's guard and throws a big left but Falk blocks it.

Falk tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Falk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chaos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chaos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Falk wants to improve his position but instead Chaos has moved into half guard.

Falk kicks off Chaos and gets to his feet.
Kyle Chaos seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Falk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chaos closes the distance and clinches up with Falk, looking for a takedown. Chaos pushes Falk against the cage but Falk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Falk throws a nice looking combination but Chaos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Falk's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Falk duly obliges.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johan Falk dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Chaos fails to land with a series of punches.

Falk drops Chaos with a right and a left! Falk comes rushing in but Chaos regains his composure and manages to keep Falk in guard.

Chaos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Falk controls the pace.
Chaos is still in real trouble! Can Falk finish him?
Falk slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Chaos seems to have recovered his senses.

Falk decides to stand up, so the ref orders Chaos to his feet.

Chaos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A head kick misses from Falk.

and Chaos counters with a thumping low kick.
Johan Falk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Falk throws a head kick that misses.
Falk closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Falk throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chaos counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Chaos stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Falk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Chaos gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Johan Falk just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Chaos lands an elbow that stopped Falk in his tracks for a moment.

Chaos creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Falk's defenses.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johan Falk. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Chaos is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Falk drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johan Falk.
I think Falk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
