Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aurelius Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gonna Fly Now kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Aurelius Maximus has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonny Jefferson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aurelius Maximus!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Maximus throws a right hand that Jefferson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jefferson also avoids with ease.
Jefferson shoots for a double leg takedown but Maximus sprawls well. He's pushed Jefferson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jefferson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maximus as he avoids it easily.
Jefferson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jefferson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Maximus pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonny Jefferson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jefferson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Maximus gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jefferson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Maximus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Maximus is pressed up against the cage. Jefferson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Maximus down to the mat. Maximus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jefferson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Jonny Jefferson has been cut.
Jefferson is breathing heavily.

Maximus moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Maximus thuds his right hand into Jefferson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Maximus connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Jefferson tumbling to the canvas! Maximus pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Jefferson was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Aurelius Maximus!
