The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grundmanis tries to keep at a distance but Le Jean has taken the fight into the clinch.

Grundmanis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Le Jean backs up against the cage.
Le Jean shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Le Jean was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Grundmanis is squirming around, avoiding Le Jean's attempts to control the action.
Grundmanis is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Le Jean misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Grundmanis wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You get the feeling that Grundmanis really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Le Jean lands a big shot there that rocks Grundmanis but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Le Jean postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Grundmanis in real trouble here! The ref calls for Grundmanis to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
