Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Mirrer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Gustavsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mirrer comes to the cage accompanied by Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana. Gustavsson has chosen Shotgun Blues as his entrance music. Paul Mirrer could well score a knockout today. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mirrer.
Mirrer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gustavsson tries to avoid it but Mirrer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gustavsson to the ground. Gustavsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mirrer shoots in for a takedown but Gustavsson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Mirrer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gustavsson connects with the punch.
Gustavsson throws a series of strikes that have Mirrer backpedaling.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gustavsson digs a good body shot into Mirrer's ribs.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gustavsson works Mirrer's body with a nice hook.
Mirrer is breathing heavily.
Gustavsson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mirrer sprawling to the canvas! Mirrer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gustavsson finish him?!
Mirrer is rocked!
Alex Gustavsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gustavsson throws an uppercut from hell that sends Mirrer clean off his feet! He's out cold! Gustavsson stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
