And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Satellite!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garrido leaves Satellite with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Satellite keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Garrido.
Satellite uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Garrido.
Satellite throws a leg kick but Garrido sees it coming and moves out of range.

Garrido shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Satellite's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Satellite can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Garrido controls the pace.
Garrido is in close to Satellite's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Garrido seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

It looks like Sam Satellite has been cut.
Garrido wants to control but Satellite is keeping him busy.
Garrido looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Garrido is looking to take a break and control but Satellite is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Garrido passes the guard and advances to mount!
Satellite wants to control but Garrido is having none of it.

Satellite is bucking up trying to escape but Garrido cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Satellite looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sam Satellite's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sam Satellite's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Javier Garrido!
