Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Jay Medway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shakim Goethe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medway gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Goethe lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goethe wants to free his trapped foot but Medway is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Goethe stops Medway from getting back to his feet.
Medway is refusing to be controlled, as Goethe sits in half guard.
Goethe decides to return to a standing position.
Medway moves into the clinch successfully.
Goethe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Medway gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Shakim Goethe has been cut.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Goethe has eaten all the pies!
Goethe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Medway walks away with a smile on his face. Goethe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Goethe tries to close the distance and clinch but Medway swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Goethe takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Medway lands a big head kick that sends Goethe to the canvas! Medway follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Jay Medway!
