The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jakkar wants to clinch. Jakkar is looking to take this fight into the clinch. McSlugg swats away the attempt to clinch by Jakkar. Jakkar shoots for a double leg takedown but McSlugg sprawls well. He's pushed Jakkar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jakkar tries to clinch there but McSlugg circles away.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Jakkar might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Jakkar takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. McSlugg lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

McSlugg sends Jakkar crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! McSlugg is motioning to the referee to let Jakkar up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Jakkar takes a shot to the body in his stride.
