The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sammalharju swings for the body but Nurmelainen moves out of range.
Sammalharju works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Jari Nurmelainen has been cut.
Sammalharju stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sammalharju displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nurmelainen.
No luck for Nurmelainen with that takedown attempt.
Sammalharju misses with a few strikes there.
Sammalharju dances in with a quick combination. Nurmelainen is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Sammalharju snaps Nurmelainen's head back. Nurmelainen stumbles backwards against the cage. Sammalharju steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Nurmelainen's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Nurmelainen just didn't come prepared.
