Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ras Butten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butten's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Apoptygma Berzerk - Fade to Black. Mathers has chosen Buck cherry as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ras Butten! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Karl Mathers! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mathers keeps the fight on the outside. Mathers lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Butten tries to clinch but Mathers moves out of range. Butten tries to close the distance and clinch but Mathers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Butten is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mathers throws a shot to the body.
Mathers throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Butten tries for a takedown but Mathers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Butten is looking to clinch but Mathers is avoiding it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Butten. Butten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mathers swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Butten. Butten clinches up with Mathers and pushes him back against the ropes. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Butten. A short left from Butten. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Mathers wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Mathers's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Mathers can't break the clinch.
Butten lands with a short head shot on the inside. Butten drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mathers gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Butten throws a punch but it's blocked by Mathers.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Butten - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A head punch on the inside from Butten fails to land. Butten is struggling to control the position. Butten has hold of one of Mathers's legs. Mathers is fighting the takedown attempt but Butten gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Butten stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mathers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Butten wants to control from the top but Mathers keeps moving. Butten postures up.
Mathers tries to land a sweep but no joy. Butten is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mathers is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mathers has escaped and now he's on top! Butten controls Mathers momentarily but Mathers frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mathers wants to control from the top but Butten keeps moving. Mathers wants to stand but Butten has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Butten trying to keep a closed guard but Mathers is proving a slippery customer.
Butten wants to sweep here but Mathers controlling him for the moment. Butten keeping moving, preventing Mathers from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butten manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mathers manages to get himself to full guard.
Butten trying to control the position from guard on top but Mathers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Butten has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mathers has control of Butten's left arm, preventing Butten from doing any damage. Mathers can't keep his opponent in guard - Butten advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Butten is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Mathers looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mathers is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mathers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Butten tries to free his leg and advance position but Mathers is retaining full guard. Mathers is trying to keep Butten in close.
Butten passes easily into side control. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Karl Mathers will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Mathers looks to land a left hand but Butten moved out of range nicely. Mathers misses with a series of wild punches.
Mathers missing with a left hand there. Butten was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A punch lands to the side of Butten 's head but he takes it in his stride. Mathers misses with a straight left. Butten misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Butten drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Butten is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Butten looking to pass the guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Butten trying to control but Mathers is working from the bottom. Mathers looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mathers manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Butten manages to get himself to full guard.
Mathers wants to pass the guard but Butten is keeping the position. Butten controls Mathers momentarily but Mathers frees himself. Mathers trying to stand up but can't free himself from Butten's guard. Mathers stands up from Butten's guard - Mathers perhaps looking for a knockout. Mathers is breathing heavily. Butten tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mathers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Butten clinches up with Mathers and pushes him back against the ropes. Butten throws a head punch that misses. Mathers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Mathers is trying to force a seperation but Butten has the dominant position. Butten misses with a hook from the clinch. Butten works on Mathers's body with a couple of short punches. Butten lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Butten lands a hook that snaps the head of Mathers backwards. Butten keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mathers's efforts to push away. Mathers takes a shot to the head. Butten just leaning against Mathers, taking a breather. Butten throws a head punch that misses. Mathers wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A short left from Butten. Mathers is trying to force a seperation but Butten has the dominant position. Butten lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mathers backwards. Mathers is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Butten is pushing Mathers up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butten seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Mathers can't break the clinch.
The referee calls for Butten to work.
Butten misses with a hook from the clinch. Butten softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Butten prevents Mathers from breaking the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Butten. Butten is trying to stall.
Butten lands a shoulder strike. Come on Butten - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Butten lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mathers backwards. Butten lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Butten goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mathers prevents it.
Mathers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Butten has him pressed against the ropes. Mathers blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Butten tries to stall but Mathers uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mathers is trying to break the clinch but Butten is controlling him. Butten is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mathers is keeping busy. Butten holding his opponent close, against the ropes.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ras Butten. A big left from Mathers misses. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Butten doesn't manage to clinch there - Mathers circles away.
Butten fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ras Butten. That's going to take a lot out of him. Butten slips a jab and a cross from Mathers.
Mathers throws a jab but it's blocked by Butten. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ras Butten dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Butten has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Butten there as he acknowledges the shot. Butten misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Butten instigates a clinch. Butten pushes Mathers back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. Mathers wants to break free but Butten has control.

A short uppercut from Butten. Butten has Mathers pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Mathers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Butten throws a punch but it's blocked by Mathers. Butten lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Mathers wants to get back to striking at distance but Butten won't allow it.
Butten works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Butten has gone for a leg lock! Mathers slips out almost immediately though and dives into Butten's guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Mathers trying to control the position from guard on top but Butten is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mathers drops back looking for a leg! Butten is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Butten manages to kick Mathers off! Mathers jumps back into Butten's guard. Mathers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Butten swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mathers preventing the sweep. Mathers trying to control the position from guard on top but Butten is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mathers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Butten is controlling him. Butten is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mathers is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mathers has escaped and now he's on top! Mathers is looking to work some ground and pound but Butten has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Butten working a defensive guard here.
Butten has his foot on Mathers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mathers works his way back into a safe position though. Mathers won't allow Butten to sweep him here. Butten trying to control the position.
Butten is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mathers is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Butten keeping moving, preventing Mathers from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ras Butten. I think Butten has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
