The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romulus shoots for a takedown but De Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Romulus scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
De Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Romulus's guard.
De Silva missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
De Silva wants to control from the top but Romulus keeps moving.
De Silva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Romulus looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Silva is one step ahead there.

You can see the frustration on Romulus's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

De Silva has hold of Romulus's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Romulus manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
