The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McGill looking to punish the body of his opponent here but cerrone is avoiding damage well.

McGill postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. cerrone looks a forlorn figure.
McGill pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGill misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

McGill changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. cerrone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
McGill tries to move to mount but cerrone blocks the move with his legs.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
McGill is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so cerrone is just riding it out for now. McGill eventually gives up the hold.
