Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marian Marian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marian takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Marian tries a head kick but it misses.
A big left from Walker misses.
Walker stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Marian.

Marian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Marian sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Walker's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Walker parries the strikes from Marian easily there. Marian is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Walker to escape.

Marian has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Marian throws a head kick but Walker moves out of range.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Walker sizes up Marian with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Marian counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marian.

Marian is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Walker thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Marian has control of Walker's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Walker regains control of the situation pretty easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marian is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Walker to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Walker shrugs it off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Marian gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Walker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marian as he jumps to the side.

Marian drops back looking for a leg! Walker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Walker manages to kick Marian off! Marian jumps back into Walker's guard.
Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marian passes Walker's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Marian in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Walker tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Marian!
