Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luka Smeltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Bone looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Bone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Luka Smeltz!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smeltz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bone looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smeltz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bone tries to clinch up but Smeltz circles away and keeps his distance.
Smeltz smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Smeltz wants to clinch up but Bone keeps it at a distance.
Smeltz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bone is fending him off so far but Smeltz persists. Nope, Bone circles away and we're back to standing.
Smeltz misses with a double jab.
Smeltz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bone tries to avoid it but Smeltz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bone to the ground. Bone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
John Bone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luka Smeltz.
Bone darts in trying to clinch

and Smeltz moves into the clinch.
Bone jumps guard but Smeltz stands there with Bone around his waist. Bone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Smeltz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smeltz tries to clinch but Bone is having none of it.

and Bone counters with a shoot takedown. Smeltz fights it but they end up in guard.
Smeltz has control of Bone's left arm, preventing Bone from doing any damage.
Bone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Smeltz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bone manages to get himself to full guard.
Smeltz connects with a couple of short punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smeltz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Smeltz drops back looking for a leg! Bone is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bone manages to kick Smeltz off! Smeltz jumps back into Bone's guard.

Bone pushes Smeltz off and scrambles back to his feet.
Bone tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Smeltz counters by moving into the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Bone.
Smeltz tries to pull guard but Bone won't allow it.
Bone really is a fat lump.
Smeltz wants a takedown but no success here.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Bone goes for a takedown in the clinch but Smeltz prevents it.

Smeltz has had enough of the clinch but Bone keeps him there for the moment.

Smeltz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bone blocks a head kick by Smeltz.
Smeltz throws a half hearted mid kick.

Bone clinches with his opponent.
Smeltz trying to stall but Bone improves his position.
Bone can't break the clinch.
Smeltz tries to break free but Bone pushes him back against the cage.
Smeltz taking a breather.
Bone prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Luka Smeltz will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Bone moves into the clinch successfully.
Smeltz lands with a short shot to the head.
Bone working aggressively here.
Bone is pressed up against the cage. Smeltz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bone down to the mat. Bone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bone wants to clinch but Smeltz slips to the side

and Smeltz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smeltz.
Smeltz lands a knee to the head.

Smeltz gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bone regains guard.
Smeltz postures up in Bone's guard and throws a big left but Bone blocks it.
Bone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smeltz trying to control but Bone is working from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bone keeping moving, preventing Smeltz from controlling successfully.

Bone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Smeltz wants to control from the top but Bone keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bone has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Smeltz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bone to the mat! Bone manages to get full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bone keeping moving, preventing Smeltz from controlling successfully.
Smeltz trying to move into half guard but instead Bone has managed to sweep!
Bone looking to sit in guard and control but Smeltz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Smeltz stands and steps away. Bone gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luka Smeltz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Bone doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Smeltz counters with a one-two to the body.
Bone shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Smeltz closes the distance and clinches.
Smeltz is trying to break free.
Smeltz tries for a takedown but Bone manages to get underhooks.
Smeltz stalls.
Bone tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Smeltz's elbow.
Bone tries to pull guard but Smeltz won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Smeltz pulls Bone into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smeltz looking to control.
Bone passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Bone perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Smeltz trying to hold on to Bone's head to control him but Bone postures up.
Smeltz manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Smeltz is looking to stand up but Bone isn't so interested in that idea.
Bone is stalling in the full guard.
Smeltz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Smeltz is thwarting Bone's attempts to control the position.
Bone is not content to let Smeltz control the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Smeltz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Smeltz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bone defending well though.
John Bone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Well, if Smeltz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Smeltz wants to control but Bone is keeping him busy.

Luka Smeltz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Smeltz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
