Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piter Kuiper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Harrison Boyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Piter Kuiper!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Kuiper misses.
Kuiper stuffs the takedown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Boyle.

Boyle shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kuiper is trying to defend but Boyle finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Kuiper blocking the ground and pound attempt from Boyle.
Boyle wants to take a breather but Kuiper is having none of it.
Kuiper wants to control but Boyle is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Boyle takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Boyle wants to free his trapped foot but Kuiper is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kuiper trying to hold on to Boyle's head to control him but Boyle postures up.
Kuiper keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Kuiper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boyle is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Boyle gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Kuiper breaks the clinch.

Boyle decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kuiper pushes Boyle off looking to stand but Boyle dives back in and keeps control.
Boyle prevents Kuiper from improving his position.
Boyle is nestled in close to Kuiper, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Boyle is trying to control the action in half guard but Kuiper is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kuiper gets back to full guard.
Boyle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Boyle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Boyle circles away from the clinch attempt

and Boyle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Boyle is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boyle stands and steps away. Kuiper gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Boyle takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Harrison Boyle has been cut.
Kuiper tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Boyle counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kuiper won't be happy with that.
Boyle prevents Kuiper from escaping the position.
Kuiper taking a bit of punishment here - Boyle scoring with strikes.
Boyle wants to take a breather but Kuiper manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Boyle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boyle trying to control but Kuiper is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyle wants to pass the guard but Kuiper is keeping the position.
Kuiper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kuiper wants to stand and escape but Boyle is having none of it.

Boyle stands up from Kuiper's guard - Boyle perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kuiper shoots and misses

and Boyle counters with a shoot takedown. Kuiper fights it but they end up in guard.
Boyle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kuiper is keeping the position for now.
Boyle missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kuiper looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Boyle gets to his feet - Kuiper follows without any prompting.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kuiper stuffs the takedown attempt from Boyle. Boyle gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harrison Boyle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kuiper closes the distance looking to clinch

and Boyle decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kuiper's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kuiper leaves Boyle with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kuiper circles away from the clinch attempt

and Kuiper counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kuiper prevents the takedown attempt.
Boyle tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kuiper tries to pull guard but Boyle won't allow it.

Kuiper jumps guard and drags Boyle to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kuiper is looking for a triangle but Boyle pushes his legs off easily.
Kuiper is trying to keep Boyle in close.
Boyle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuiper swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Boyle drops back looking for a leg! Kuiper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kuiper manages to kick Boyle off! Boyle jumps back into Kuiper's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boyle won't allow Kuiper to get back to his feet.
Harrison Boyle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boyle wants to control from the top but Kuiper keeps moving.
Kuiper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Boyle closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kuiper wants to get back to his feet.
Kuiper gets back to full guard.
Boyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Kuiper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kuiper is looking to stand up but Boyle isn't so interested in that idea.

Boyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Boyle cracks Kuiper with a solid left hand.
Boyle won't allow Kuiper to get back to his feet.

Boyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Kuiper tries to clinch up

and Boyle decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kuiper's guard.
Kuiper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boyle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Boyle trying to control but Kuiper is working from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kuiper is on top in guard.

Boyle manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kuiper tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Boyle counters with a single leg into guard. Kuiper didn't expect that.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyle throwing strikes from guard but Kuiper blocks nicely.
Boyle passes Kuiper's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kuiper is trying to control but can't.
Kuiper is staying active underneath Boyle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kuiper is looking to get back to is feet but Boyle passes into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kuiper takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Kuiper is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Boyle is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Kuiper is working to get back to half guard.

Boyle tries to control but Kuiper wriggling away.

Kuiper bucks up and throws Boyle to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Kuiper throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Boyle counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kuiper won't be happy with that.
Boyle is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kuiper can do to turn this around?
Kuiper is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Boyle asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kuiper is trying to control Boyle's posture but Boyle avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Boyle goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kuiper rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Boyle's guard! Nice work there by Kuiper!
Kuiper wants to control from the top but Boyle keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kuiper tries to stand but Boyle is controlling from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Harrison Boyle showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boyle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
