Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erik Solheim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darnell Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darnell Turner! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Solheim avoids it really well and circles away. Turner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Solheim sprawls well initially but Turner persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Solheim makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Solheim. Solheim looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Solheim wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Turner trying to control the position from guard on top but Solheim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Turner sitting in guard here, content to control. Solheim wants to stand up but Turner is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner content to stall in guard here. Turner working some strikes from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Solheim throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Turner with a nice head shot there. Turner stopping the sweep attempt from Solheim. Solheim is trying to keep Turner in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Turner gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Turner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Solheim was covering up waiting for the punch and Turner finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turner won't allow Solheim to sweep him here. Turner sitting in guard, not really doing much. Turner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Solheim is keeping the position for now. Solheim wants to stand up but Turner is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner looking to sit in guard and control but Solheim gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Turner pulls Solheim in close to prevent any damage. Solheim wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving. Turner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Solheim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Solheim wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Turner has his hands on Solheim's head, controlling the position. Turner looking for a sweep. Not yet Turner, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darnell Turner dominated that round. That's time! Solheim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Turner closes the distance and pushes Solheim back into the cage. Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Solheim dodges the punch combination from Turner.
Solheim doesn't succeed with the takedown and Turner counters with a two punch combo. Turner has taken the fight to the clinch.
Solheim has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Turner goes for a takedown attempt but Solheim pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A combination from Solheim does no damage. Turner fails with an attempt to clinch.
Solheim shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Turner holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Turner wants a takedown but no success here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner breaks the clinch.
A head kick from Turner lands but Solheim takes it in his stride. Turner with a lazy takedown attempt and Solheim counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Erik Solheim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darnell Turner. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Turner is not content to let Solheim control the position. Turner controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Turner's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Solheim wants to stand up but Turner has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solheim wants to work for an arm triangle but Turner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Turner controlling the position for now. Turner is trying to maintain the position but Solheim is very close to passing his half guard. Turner makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Turner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Solheim can't do much from the bottom here. Solheim prevents Turner from improving position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Solheim takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Solheim gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Turner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Solheim is surviving well by controlling Turner's body position as best he can. Turner in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Turner lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Solheim hang on? Turner is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Solheim can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner working for a submission but Solheim is keeping him at bay. Turner landing strikes, looking to finish! You get the feeling that Solheim really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Turner sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Solheim has given up his back here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Good control from Turner. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darnell Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Turner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Solheim can't do much from the bottom here. Turner wants to control but Solheim is keeping him busy. Solheim is trying to escape the position but Turner is controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Solheim might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner trying to control the action but Solheim is working from the bottom. Solheim gets back to half guard. Solheim wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Turner is keen to just control but Solheim is a slippery customer. Still in half guard, Turner seems content to control.
Despite being in the dominant position, Darnell Turner just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Turner connects with a high kick. Turner doesn't manage to clinch there - Solheim circles away.
Turner has his takedown stuffed and Solheim counters with a shoot takedown. Turner fights it but they end up in guard. Turner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Solheim is one step ahead there. Turner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Solheim avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Turner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Solheim is pushing down on Turner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Turner is fighting to maintain full guard but Solheim has managed to sneak the leg through. Turner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Solheim trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom. Erik Solheim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Darnell Turner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Turner controlling Solheim's posture.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Erik Solheim. Well Turner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
