Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo DeSonto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ricardo DeSonto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Joseph! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeSonto is looking to take this fight into the clinch. DeSonto throws a head kick but Joseph moves out of range.
No luck for Joseph with that takedown attempt. Joseph tries for a takedown but DeSonto sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Joseph shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. DeSonto defends it nicely. Ricardo DeSonto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Joseph. Joseph shoots in for a takedown and gets it. DeSonto wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! DeSonto wants to improve his position but Joseph is controlling well.
DeSonto pushes Joseph off looking to stand but Joseph dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DeSonto tries to roll over but Joseph keeps him under control.

Joseph wants to control but DeSonto is keeping him busy. DeSonto pushes Joseph off looking to stand but Joseph dives back in and keeps control.
Joseph content to control rather than advance.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Joseph looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? DeSonto is fending him off so far but Joseph persists. Nope, DeSonto circles away and we're back to standing. No joy there for DeSonto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joseph shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says DeSonto as he avoids it easily. Joseph is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in DeSonto's half guard. Joseph looks gassed! DeSonto is trying to get back to full guard. DeSonto is staying active underneath Joseph, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeSonto is looking to escape. DeSonto pushes Joseph off and gets back to his feet. Joseph has closed the distance and engaged DeSonto in a clinch.
DeSonto wants to stall.
Joseph is trying to force a seperation but DeSonto has the dominant position. DeSonto is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Joseph is keeping busy. DeSonto missing with knees to the body.
DeSonto misses with a knee strike.
DeSonto is trying to drag Joseph to the mat but Joseph just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Joseph manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. DeSonto throws a strike but Joseph rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Joseph controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Joseph has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. DeSonto working a defensive guard here.
Joseph slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. DeSonto throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
DeSonto wants to stand up but Joseph is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Joseph is stalling in the full guard.
Despite being in the dominant position, John Joseph just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. DeSonto misses with a takedown attempt - Joseph sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Joseph shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Joseph showed some decent athleticism there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Joseph dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Joseph throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeSonto's waist but DeSonto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Joseph off to one side. DeSonto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. DeSonto is looking to clinch. Joseph tries to clinch but fails miserably and DeSonto counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by DeSonto. DeSonto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Joseph throws a quick inside leg kick. Joseph has his takedown stuffed and DeSonto moves into the clinch. Joseph tries to pull guard but DeSonto won't allow it.
Ricardo DeSonto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Joseph. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Joseph gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, DeSonto regains guard.
DeSonto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Joseph is aware though and is defending well. DeSonto pushes a forearm under Joseph's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Joseph is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
