Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Richards Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orlando Dong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donnie Richards Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Orlando Dong! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richards Jr misses the jab. Dong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Donnie Richards Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dong feints and as Richards Jr raises his hands in defense, Dong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Richards Jr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richards Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard. Richards Jr wants to stand up but Dong is controlling him. Dong wants to control from the top but Richards Jr keeps moving. Dong tries to free his leg and advance position but Richards Jr is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dong trying to control the position from guard on top but Richards Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Richards Jr wants to improve his position but instead Dong has moved into half guard.
Dong is controlling the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Some wild striking there from Dong.
Richards Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Dong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dong swats away the attempt to clinch by Richards Jr. Richards Jr misses with a two punch combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Richards Jr wants to clinch up but Dong keeps it at a distance. Richards Jr tries to keep at a distance but Dong has taken the fight into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Richards Jr's face as he tries to break the clinch. Richards Jr trying to control the position but instead, Dong has worked for underhooks and has pushed Richards Jr into the cage. Dong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Richards Jr with a poor takedown and Dong counters with a nice double leg into side control. Richards Jr won't be happy with that. Dong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Richards Jr keeps working. A lull in the action here as Dong stalls from top position. Richards Jr looking for a sweep but Dong has passed into full mount! Oh no!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Richards Jr hang on? Dong breaks from Richards Jr's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dong stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Richards Jr pushes Dong up against the cage in a clinch. Dong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Richards Jr tries to clinch but Dong moves away and Dong counters with a nice double leg into side control. Richards Jr won't be happy with that. Dong fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Richards Jr struggling a bit here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dong trying to control the action but Richards Jr is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richards Jr tries to buck Dong off but Dong is having none of it. Richards Jr stops Dong from passing to mount. Richards Jr is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dong has just dragged him back down to the mat. Dong decides to stand up, so the ref orders Richards Jr to his feet. Dong looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Richards Jr takes the fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Orlando Dong dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Richards Jr shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Richards Jr was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dong tries to hold on but Richards Jr pushes him away. Richards Jr landing strikes from the mount and Dong is in trouble! Richards Jr avoids the attempt from Dong to control. Richards Jr landing strikes from the mount. Richards Jr lands a nice shot to the head. Richards Jr get's back to his feet. Richards Jr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Richards Jr throws a nice looking combination but Dong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Richards Jr manages to regain half guard. Good work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Richards Jr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dong is one step ahead there. Richards Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Dong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Richards Jr wants to work for an arm triangle but Dong is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Richards Jr is nestled in close to Dong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Richards Jr trying to control the action but Dong is working from the bottom. Dong is looking for a sweep. Richards Jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dong is not content to let Richards Jr control the position. Orlando Dong has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richards Jr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dong is concentrating on defense, preventing Richards Jr from advancing position. Dong is looking to improve his position.
Dong is trying to maintain the position but Richards Jr is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Richards Jr tries to clinch up and Dong counters with a nice double leg into guard. Richards Jr trying to keep a closed guard but Dong is proving a slippery customer.

Donnie Richards Jr dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Dong fails to land the takedown. A looping hook to the body misses from Richards Jr. Dong does a little dance to reset his feet. Richards Jr misses with a looping left. Richards Jr tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Richards Jr wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dong has him pressed against the cage. Richards Jr is trying to break free. Dong prevents the takedown attempt.
Richards Jr tries to stall but Dong uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dong wants the takedown. Richards Jr is fighting it off but Dong persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Richards Jr's guard against the cage. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Richards Jr is on top in guard.
Richards Jr lands a couple of decent looking shots. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richards Jr wants to pass the guard but Dong is keeping the position. Richards Jr scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Dong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Richards Jr is one step ahead there. Richards Jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dong works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Richards Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dong keeping moving, preventing Richards Jr from controlling successfully. Dong managing to control the position. Richards Jr thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Richards Jr has gone for a leg lock! Dong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Richards Jr's guard. Dong slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dong trying to control but Richards Jr is working from the bottom. Dong connects with a couple of short punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dong would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Richards Jr trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Dong fails in his attempt to clinch. Dong throws a head kick that misses. Richards Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dong paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dong avoids the body shot from Richards Jr.

Richards Jr throws a combination. Dong tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Dong shoots for a double leg takedown but Richards Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Dong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Richards Jr lands a right hook to the body.
Richards Jr gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dong counters with a body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie Richards Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Richards Jr closes the distance and lands a one-two. Richards Jr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dong stuffs the takedown attempt from Richards Jr. Richards Jr gets slowly back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Orlando Dong. I think Dong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
