Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kilo Miecha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kilo Miecha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Francis Drake! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miecha fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Drake, pushing him back against the cage. Miecha has picked Drake up - he's going for a ride! Miecha dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Miecha wants to stand up but Drake is controlling the position.
Drake wants to control but Miecha is keeping busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Miecha is keen to just control but Drake is a slippery customer. Drake slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Drake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miecha can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Miecha missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Drake is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miecha defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miecha doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miecha manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miecha avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Drake keeping full guard, as Miecha tries to pass. Miecha passes Drake's left leg - he's now in half guard. Drake is looking for a sweep. Miecha is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Miecha stalling. Miecha tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Miecha not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Miecha is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Drake wants to control but Miecha is keeping busy.
Drake looks gassed! Drake is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Miecha pulls his head out easily. Miecha controlling the action here. Miecha tries to pass the half guard into mount. Drake knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miecha in particular looking to stall. Miecha knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drake on the ground. Miecha seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Drake wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Drake looking for submissions off his back. Miecha takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Miecha looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Miecha winds up and cracks Drake with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miecha is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Drake doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miecha. Miecha content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Francis Drake will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Miecha scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Miecha could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Drake manages to work his way to half guard, despite Miecha's best efforts. Drake avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miecha. Miecha stalling. Miecha is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Drake has managed to free his arm - good work. Miecha tries to stand but can't do so whilst Drake controls his leg. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drake looking for a kimura from the bottom but Miecha passes into side control! Miecha working away. Miecha tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Miecha tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Drake sneaks back into half guard. Drake looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Miecha is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Drake is trying to stand.
Miecha is looking to take a break and control but Drake is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drake pushes Miecha off looking to stand but Miecha dives back in and keeps control.
Drake wants to improve his position but Miecha is controlling well.
Miecha thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miecha is taking a breather. Drake says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Miecha throws a nice looking combination but Drake bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Drake fails with the takedown and Miecha counters with a shoot takedown. Drake fights it but they end up in guard. Drake has his foot on Miecha's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miecha works his way back into a safe position though. Drake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miecha is one step ahead there. Drake can't keep his opponent in guard - Miecha advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drake gets full guard. Miecha tries to stand but Drake is controlling from the bottom. Miecha looking to pass the guard. Miecha throwing strikes but missing. Drake throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Miecha escapes and throws Drake's legs to the side, diving into side control! Kilo Miecha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miecha is trying to get an arm triangle but Drake is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kilo Miecha dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Drake misses with a takedown attempt and Miecha counters with a nice double leg into guard. Miecha is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Drake is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Drake has escaped and now he's on top! Miecha looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Drake working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Miecha's head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Drake looking to sit in guard and control but Miecha gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Miecha landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miecha trying to control but Drake is working from the bottom. Miecha decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Drake, up you get! Miecha looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Miecha has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Drake is looking for a triangle but Miecha pushes his legs off easily.
Drake throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Miecha escapes and throws Drake's legs to the side, diving into side control! Drake tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Drake is looking for a sweep. An elbow from Miecha crashes against the mat.
Miecha tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. You can see the frustration on Drake's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Miecha trying to control the position but Drake is working away. Miecha tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Miecha drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miecha is sitting in close to Drake's body. Drake has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Miecha is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Miecha is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Drake.
