Helm takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Helm is trying hard to land a takedown here. St Claire sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Helm throws a series of punches but St Claire avoids them all with ease.
Helm looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? St Claire is fending him off so far but Helm persists. Nope, St Claire circles away and we're back to standing.
St Claire lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Helm moves forwards but St Claire connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Horrible takedown by Helm or perhaps it was just good defense by St Claire which made him look bad.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Helm. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

It looks like Mick Helm has been cut.
St Claire fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Helm, pushing him back against the cage.
St Claire has had enough of the clinch but Helm keeps him there for the moment.
St Claire breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Helm crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from St Claire - the referee stops the clock and Helm gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says St Claire. Helm manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
St Claire cracks the inside of Helm's front leg.

Helm walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
St Claire lands a left and a right that send Helm crashing to the mat, dazed. St Claire thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
St Claire is working the combinations to good effect here.
St Claire shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. St Claire showed some decent athleticism there.
St Claire wants to stand up but Helm is controlling the position.

Helm wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

St Claire goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Helm not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

St Claire has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Helm is proving hard to escape from.
Helm could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Helm is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
St Claire decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Helm, up you get!

St Claire tries to clinch up but Helm circles away and keeps his distance.
St Claire closes the distance and clinches up with Helm, looking for a takedown. St Claire pushes Helm against the cage but Helm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
St Claire tries to bum rush Helm with a series of wild strikes but Helm uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Helm misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
St Claire misses with a wild combination.
St Claire is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Helm rather than just go for the knockout.
St Claire lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Helm circles away quickly and effectively.
St Claire throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
St Claire throws a nice inside leg kick.
St Claire lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Helm with a poor takedown
and St Claire counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fighters circle momentarily. St Claire darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
St Claire throws a combination. Helm tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
St Claire scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
St Claire clinches with his opponent.
St Claire is trying to break the clinch but Helm is controlling him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
St Claire looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

St Claire breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
St Claire tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Helm paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Helm closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming St Claire to the mat! St Claire manages to get full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy St Claire dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mick Helm's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

St Claire throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Helm doesn't succeed with the takedown
and St Claire counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Helm gets cracked there but stands up to it.
St Claire takes the fight into the clinch.
St Claire breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Helm misses with a hook. St Claire ducked under it nicely.
Helm with a poor takedown
and St Claire counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
St Claire is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Helm is trying to get back to full guard.
St Claire tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
St Claire really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Helm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Helm actively working from the bottom here.

Helm has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for St Claire. Oh but Helm has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! St Claire goes limp - he's gone! Helm jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
