The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunes lands with a nice combination. Assis backs away looking to recover.
Nunes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Assis manages to avoid it.

Assis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Assis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nunes sees it coming and defends easily.
Nunes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Assis pulls his head out easily.
Assis uses his free foot to push down on Nunes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Nunes.
Assis is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nunes to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nunes shrugs it off.
Assis is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Nunes is in real trouble.
