Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mir avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mir avoids the body shot from Martinez.
Martinez stalks Mir and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mir's face. Mir staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Matt Mir has been cut.
Mir dives in and grabs Martinez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Martinez pushes down on Mir's head and hops out.
Mir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martinez sprawls well. Martinez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mir gets slowly back to his feet.

Well Martinez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
