Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devin Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddie Hans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Banks might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Money in the Bank. Hans is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fight Fire With Fire. This should be fireworks!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Freddie Hans! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks blocks a head kick by Hans.
Hans throws a low kick, looking for Banks's leg but Banks calmly moves out of range. Hans misses with a two punch combination.
Hans misses with a low kick. Banks fails with the takedown. Banks throws a series of strikes that have Hans backpedaling.
Hans swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Banks counters with a single leg into guard. Hans didn't expect that. Hans keeping moving, preventing Banks from controlling successfully. Hans trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Banks is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hans is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hans has escaped and now he's on top! Banks wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Banks is trying to keep Hans in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hans wants to control from the top but Banks keeps moving. Banks is looking for a triangle but Hans pushes his legs off easily.

Banks is looking to escape. Banks is refusing to be controlled, as Hans sits in half guard. Banks pushes Hans off looking to stand but Hans dives back in and keeps control.
Hans trying to control from Banks's half guard. Banks has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Hans is working Banks over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Banks wants to sweep here but Hans controlling him for the moment. Banks is breathing heavily. Hans is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hans is looking to work some ground and pound but Banks has wrist control. Banks keeping moving, preventing Hans from controlling successfully. Banks throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hans lands a couple of elbows. Hans pushes down on Banks's leg and manages to get into half guard. Banks is refusing to be controlled, as Hans sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks works his way to full guard. Good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hans landing with the ground and pound. Hans postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hans trying to control the position from guard on top but Banks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hans must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hans trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Banks is looking to stand up but Hans isn't so interested in that idea. Hans content to stall in guard here. Hans postures up in Banks's guard and throws a big left but Banks blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hans advances position into side control! Hans is chipping away with strikes.
Hans landing strikes. Banks manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Banks is thwarting Hans's attempts to control the position. Hans looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hans pushes Banks off looking to stand but Banks dives back in and keeps control.
Hans is looking to control Banks's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hans avoid being mounted? Banks is looking for a kimura but Hans is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Banks to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Freddie Hans will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hans scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Nice sprawl there from Hans as Banks shoots in. Banks closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hans circles away. Hans takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Banks throws out a powerful jab. Banks shoots in but Hans avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devin Banks. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hans throws a leg kick and Banks connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Banks fails with an attempt to clinch.
Banks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hans tries to avoid it but Banks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hans to the ground. Hans escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Banks throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! No luck for Banks with that takedown attempt. Hans throws a lazy head kick and Banks counters with a one-two to the body. Banks tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hans swivels and escapes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Banks. Hans is breathing heavily. Banks scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice sprawl there from Hans as Banks shoots in.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Banks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hans throws a lazy head kick and Banks counters with a takedown into side control. Banks scores with punches from side control. Hans takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Hans gets back to half guard. Banks wants to control but Hans is keeping him busy. Hans is trying to maintain the position but Banks is very close to passing his half guard. Banks is figuring out what he wants to do next. Banks working the head and body with strikes. Banks looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Banks wants to take a breather but Hans is having none of it.

Hans moves into full guard.
Hans striking off his back but it's not causing Banks any problems. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hans can do anything to dispel that myth. Banks trying to control but Hans is working from the bottom. Banks is really struggling to control Hans but he's trying to hold on to the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks stopping the sweep attempt from Hans.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hans throws a left and a right that both miss
and Banks counters with a takedown into side control. Banks is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hans's shoulder. That is not cool. Banks prevents Hans from escaping the position. Banks trying to control the action but Hans is working from the bottom. Banks lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hans down.
Devin Banks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hans has managed to free his arm - good work. Banks passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hans! Banks jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hans is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hans and Banks has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's one minute gone in the round. Banks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hans has escaped the position, nice work there. Hans looks to move to half guard but instead Banks has passed into mount! Damn! Hans is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hans takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Banks has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hans's face.
Banks trying to control but Hans is having none of it. Hans is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Banks with a couple of short strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hans is looking to escape. Hans keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Banks raining down shots from the mount! Hans gets back to half guard. Banks passes to side control. Banks is looking to take a break and control but Hans is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Banks working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hans keeps working. Banks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hans, who protects the arm well. Banks has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hans! Hans is desperately trying to improve his position but Banks has a good base and remains in mount. Banks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hans is looking to escape. Banks controlling from the full mount. Banks goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hans turns into him and now he's in Banks's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hans avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Banks throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Banks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Banks uses his free foot to push down on Hans's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hans. Banks unloading with bombs! Banks looking to secure an arm triangle but Hans defends it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Devin Banks showed his dominance in that final round. Well Banks has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
