Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Kirkorvich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirkorvich's entrance music is Russian Anthem. A fine choice. Aleksander Emelianenko has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vlad Kirkorvich's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vlad Kirkorvich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksander Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko gets the takedown into side control. Kirkorvich can't do much from the bottom here. Kirkorvich isn't going anywhere. Kirkorvich manages to get back to half guard. Emelianenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kirkorvich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kirkorvich is not content to let Emelianenko control the position. Emelianenko working Kirkorvich over with strikes. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kirkorvich is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Emelianenko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Emelianenko is looking to take a break and control but Kirkorvich is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kirkorvich looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko is trying to control the action in half guard but Kirkorvich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Emelianenko prevents Kirkorvich from standing back up.
Kirkorvich looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kirkorvich is staying active underneath Emelianenko, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kirkorvich gets caught flat footed, as Emelianenko shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kirkorvich wants to stand and escape but Emelianenko is having none of it. Emelianenko with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Kirkorvich keeps moving. Kirkorvich is pulling down on Emelianenko's head to control his posture. Kirkorvich wants to sweep here but Emelianenko controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirkorvich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kirkorvich stuffs the takedown. Emelianenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Emelianenko looks gassed! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kirkorvich is on top in guard.
Emelianenko keeping full guard, as Kirkorvich tries to pass. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Emelianenko can do anything to dispel that myth. Kirkorvich trying to control but Emelianenko is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko can't keep his opponent in guard - Kirkorvich advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kirkorvich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emelianenko keeps working. Emelianenko looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kirkorvich uses his free foot to push down on Emelianenko's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Emelianenko. Kirkorvich has isolated one of Emelianenko's arms. Emelianenko looking to fight him off but Kirkorvich twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
