Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Allistair Overeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Downstait - I Came to Play as his entrance music. Allistair Overeen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allistair Overeen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rick Diaz! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots in and drives through. Overeen sprawls well. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Overeen sprawls well. Overeen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Diaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diaz checks the leg kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diaz. Allistair Overeen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Diaz. That's one minute gone in the round. Overeen throws a body kick that misses. Diaz checks a low kick from Overeen. Overeen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Diaz looks gassed! Overeen has Diaz up against the ropes in a clinch.
Overeen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diaz's efforts to push away. Overeen jumps guard and drags Diaz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Overeen is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Diaz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Overeen kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Diaz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Overeen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Diaz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Overeen is looking to clinch but Diaz is avoiding it.
Overeen slaps away a takedown attempt from Diaz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Overeen clinches. Overeen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Overeen sizes up Diaz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Overeen as he jumps to the side. Overeen tries to clinch up but Diaz circles away and keeps his distance. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Overeen.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Overeen. Overeen clinches with his opponent.
Overeen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diaz's efforts to push away. Overeen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to control but Overeen is keeping him busy. Diaz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Diaz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Overeen, who protects the arm well. Overeen can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Allistair Overeen dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Nice body kick there by Diaz. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Overeen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Overeen looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Overeen lands with an overhand left. Overeen cracks Diaz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Diaz shoots in and drives through. Overeen sprawls well. Overeen tries to close the distance and clinch but Diaz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diaz is looking to slow Overeen down with leg kicks. Overeen has Diaz up against the ropes in a clinch.
Overeen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Diaz walks away with a smile on his face. Overeen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Diaz drops his hands momentarily and Overeen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Overeen as he jumps to the side. Allistair Overeen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Diaz. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Diaz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Overeen - the referee stops the clock and Diaz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Overeen. Diaz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Overeen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Diaz. Overeen lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Diaz drops his hands momentarily and Overeen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Diaz. Diaz throws a nice looking combination but Overeen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Overeen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the ropes. Diaz gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Diaz stops Overeen from standing up. Diaz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Overeen keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Overeen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Overeen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Diaz is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Overeen wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment. Overeen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Diaz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Overeen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Diaz checks the leg kick. Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and Overeen moves out of range easily. Allistair Overeen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Diaz tries to clinch up but Overeen circles away and keeps his distance. Allistair Overeen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Overeen circles away. Diaz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Diaz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Overeen is looking to clinch but Diaz is avoiding it.

Overeen throws a leg kick which misses Diaz's front leg but catches the back leg as Diaz tries to avoid it. Diaz clinches with his opponent.
Overeen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Diaz's efforts to push away. Overeen is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Overeen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Diaz defending well as Overeen loads up on a big left hand. Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Overeen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Overeen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diaz is working away from the top position though. Diaz is working for a kimura but Overeen is defending it quite comfortably.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Overeen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Overeen is pulling down on Diaz's head. It's preventing any offense from Diaz, at least for the moment. Diaz wants to pass the guard but Overeen is keeping the position. Overeen trying to keep a closed guard but Diaz is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Allistair Overeen will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Overeen, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Overeen against the ropes but Overeen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A nice inside leg kick there by Overeen. That's going to slow Diaz down. Overeen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jab from Overeen. Overeen gets in close and instigates a clinch. Diaz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Overeen has him pressed against the ropes. Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diaz pushes Overeen away with a front kick. Overeen feints and then cracks Diaz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Diaz down. Overeen tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it. Diaz takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Overeen tries to land a body kick and Diaz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Diaz. Overeen wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment. Overeen has a closed guard, preventing Diaz from standing up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Overeen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Overeen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Overeen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Overeen is striking from the bottom but Diaz uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Diaz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Overeen trying to control but Diaz postures up.
Overeen is trying to stand up here but Diaz is controlling him well. Diaz content to control rather than advance. Diaz is just content to waste time from the top position. Overeen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Overeen controls Diaz momentarily but Diaz frees himself. Diaz wants to control from the top but Overeen keeps moving. Overeen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there. Overeen keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully. Diaz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Overeen keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Overeen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Diaz's sensitive parts. Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Overeen circles away. Diaz circles away from the clinch attempt and Diaz counters with a single leg into guard. Overeen didn't expect that. Diaz trying to control but Overeen is working from the bottom. Overeen has a closed guard, preventing Diaz from standing up. Overeen striking off his back but it's not causing Diaz any problems.
And that's the end of the fight! Rick Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Overeen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
