Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baby Firefly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Firefly comes to the cage accompanied by Bleed it out. Huerta has chosen Devine as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firefly jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Firefly tries to clinch but Huerta moves out of range.
Huerta shoots in for a double leg but Firefly sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Huerta tries to score a power double leg takedown but Firefly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Huerta somewhat.
Baby Firefly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Huerta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Firefly's waist but Firefly gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Huerta off to one side.

The fighters circling - Firefly throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Firefly throws a right and a left that Huerta avoids nicely.
Firefly tries to clinch up but Huerta circles away and keeps his distance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Firefly looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Huerta shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Firefly tries to kick Huerta off but Huerta keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Firefly pushes Huerta away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Huerta gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Huerta thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Huerta won't let Firefly get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's time! Firefly's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Huerta closes the distance and clinches up with Firefly, looking for a takedown. Huerta pushes Firefly against the cage but Firefly circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Huerta jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Firefly walks away with a smile on his face. Huerta gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Huerta.
Huerta is trying to move to mount but Firefly reverses beautifully and ends up in Huerta's guard.

Huerta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Firefly doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Firefly manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
