Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amadeus Astra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Astra's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Once in a Lifetime. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLeod tries to land a front kick but Astra steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Astra takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Astra uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by MacLeod.
MacLeod will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

MacLeod sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Astra throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Astra working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
MacLeod on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Astra seems content to control.

Astra frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

MacLeod bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Astra controls MacLeod momentarily but MacLeod frees himself.
Astra wants to sweep here but MacLeod controlling him for the moment.
MacLeod must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
MacLeod is looking to stand up but Astra won't let him.

Astra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. MacLeod doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. MacLeod manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Astra closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. MacLeod did well to prevent Astra getting side control.
