Konstantin Calter struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ian McCluskey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konstantin Calter! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Calter looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! McCluskey throws the kick towards the body but Calter avoids it. McCluskey slips a jab and a cross from Calter.
Konstantin Calter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Calter throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Calter throws a head kick that misses. McCluskey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McCluskey pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. McCluskey lands a big head kick that sends Calter tumbling to the mat! McCluskey takes a step backwards and waves Calter back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Calter is rocked! McCluskey throws a right hand that Calter ducks under and follows up with a left that Calter also avoids with ease. McCluskey connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Calter to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by McCluskey!
