Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Colin Concrete! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Boyer! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Concrete takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Colin Concrete has been cut. Concrete needs to keep his hands up - Boyer had a free shot at his head there. Concrete is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boyer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Boyer explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Boyer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Boyer with a nice cross. Boyer lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Concrete has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colin Concrete. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boyer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boyer throws a nice head kick!
Concrete shoots in looking for a takedown. Boyer tries to sprawl out of it but Concrete keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boyer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Concrete has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Boyer. Concrete is breathing heavily. Boyer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Concrete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyer lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Concrete closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Boyer lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Whack! Boyer lands a heavy head kick that drops Concrete. The ref tackles Boyer to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Concrete was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Bobby Boyer!
