Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gio Jazz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, David Vo!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vo dives in and grabs Jazz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jazz pushes down on Vo's head and hops out.
Vo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jazz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Gio Jazz has been cut.

Vo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jazz defends it easily.

Vo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jazz is aware though and is defending well.

Jazz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jazz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jazz is breathing heavily.

Vo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jazz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jazz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jazz has managed to get both his arms back between Vo's legs - danger averted.

Jazz drops back looking for a leg! Vo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vo manages to kick Jazz off! Jazz jumps back into Vo's guard.

Vo is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Jazz frees his head nicely. Oh but Vo has switched to an armbar! Jazz is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). David Vo!
