Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Higashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Prestes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Prestes tries to avoid it but Higashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Prestes to the ground. Prestes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Higashi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Prestes is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Higashi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Prestes's back instead.
