The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lands a really nice looking cross but tope seems unphased.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but tope swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Duane Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. tope doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Jackson paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from tope - great work!
