Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with a takedown attempt - Kikkeli sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Penn leaves Kikkeli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Penn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kikkeli moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kikkeli fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kikkeli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Penn's waist but Penn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kikkeli off to one side.
Penn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kikkeli defends it nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kikkeli escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kikkeli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Penn closes the distance but Kikkeli moves to the side
and Kikkeli counters with a solid body kick.

Penn takes an elbow to the forehead.
Penn takes a knee to the side of the body.
Kikkeli lands with a right to the head.

Penn is breathing heavily.
Kikkeli tries for a takedown but Penn manages to get underhooks.
DJ Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teemu Kikkeli.
Kikkeli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kikkeli is looking to clinch but Penn is avoiding it.
Kikkeli feints and as Penn raises his hands in defense, Kikkeli changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kikkeli forces his way into half guard.

Kikkeli is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Penn throws a sloppy head kick
and Kikkeli counters with a straight right hand.
Penn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kikkeli shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Penn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kikkeli drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kikkeli escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Penn misses with a low kick.

Kikkeli moves into the clinch.
Penn manages to pull guard.
