Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago BJJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike De Tora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thiago BJJ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike De Tora! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by BJJ. De Tora is looking for a sweep. BJJ working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. BJJ is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. De Tora knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. BJJ laying and praying for a moment but De Tora takes advantage and regains half guard. De Tora wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Tora is concentrating on defense, preventing BJJ from advancing position. De Tora trying to control from the bottom.
BJJ trying to control the pace. De Tora trying to hold on to BJJ's head to control him but BJJ postures up.
De Tora is staying active underneath BJJ, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. BJJ passes to side control. De Tora wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! BJJ trying to control the action but De Tora is working from the bottom. BJJ is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but De Tora is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BJJ tries to advance to mount but De Tora denies him. BJJ taking a breather here. De Tora parries the strikes from BJJ easily there. BJJ is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable De Tora to escape.
BJJ tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no BJJ has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! De Tora is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked BJJ off and has taken his back! De Tora looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
De Tora is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
BJJ trying to control the hands but De Tora won't let him. De Tora tries to keep control of the position but BJJ is staying busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. BJJ is trying to shake De Tora off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! De Tora won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Thiago BJJ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. BJJ bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thiago BJJ dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
BJJ closes the distance and clinches up with De Tora, looking for a takedown. BJJ pushes De Tora against the cage but De Tora circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. BJJ is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in De Tora's half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Tora trying to control here.
BJJ tries to pass to full mount but De Tora defends it. BJJ wants to take a breather but De Tora is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. BJJ trying to pass the guard but De Tora defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Tora has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. BJJ is working away from the top position though. BJJ decides to return to a standing position. De Tora fails with the takedown and BJJ counters with a nice double leg into side control. De Tora won't be happy with that. BJJ is looking to take a break and control but De Tora is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. BJJ is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because De Tora is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BJJ tries to move into full mount but can't pass De Tora's legs. You can see the frustration on De Tora's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. BJJ misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
BJJ passes to full mount! That's big trouble for De Tora! De Tora is looking to improve his position but BJJ isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BJJ trying to control but De Tora is having none of it. BJJ thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. BJJ lands with some vicious ground and pound - can De Tora hang on? BJJ fails to take his opponent's back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. BJJ takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. BJJ tries to control but De Tora wriggling away. BJJ is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. De Tora is in real trouble.
De Tora is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with BJJ on his back. BJJ looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! De Tora has to tap out to a very impressive submission!
