Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Snapfish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nomid Nair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Snapfish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nomid Nair! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nair shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Snapfish but Snapfish pushes him off and we're back to square one. Snapfish gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Snapfish scores with a knee to the head.
Snapfish breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Snapfish clinches up against the cage. Snapfish turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! A lull in the action here as Snapfish stalls from top position. Snapfish trying to control the action but Nair is working from the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snapfish decides to stand back up. Nair tries to clinch and Snapfish makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Nair gets caught flat footed, as Snapfish shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Snapfish with a flurry of punches that miss. Nair throws his legs up looking for a submission but Snapfish uses it to pass to side control.
Snapfish has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Snapfish moves into range and clinches up with Nair.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knees in the clinch landing for Snapfish.
Nair drops down looking for an ankle pick but Snapfish pulls his leg out and moves away.
Snapfish changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nair looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Snapfish has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Nair looks gassed! Snapfish shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Snapfish showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Nair is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snapfish controlling the action here. Nair wants to get back to full guard. Snapfish works his foot free and advances to mount. Snapfish looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Snapfish seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nair for as long as he can get away with. Snapfish landing punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Snapfish dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nair misses with a takedown and Snapfish counters with a single leg into guard. Nair didn't expect that. Snapfish wants to control from the top but Nair keeps moving. Nair looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Snapfish gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Nair takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Snapfish fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nair sprawls well initially but Snapfish persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Snapfish wants to pass to mount but Nair is defending the position. Snapfish stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Nair to get to his feet. Nomid Nair seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nair misses with a takedown and Snapfish decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nair's guard. Snapfish is looking to work some ground and pound but Nair has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snapfish wants to control from the top but Nair keeps moving. Nair is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nair tries to pass to full mount but Snapfish defends it. Nair is trying to work for a kimura but Snapfish is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nair working for a submission but Snapfish is keeping him at bay. Snapfish tries to hold on but Nair postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nair with a lazy takedown attempt and Snapfish counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nair's guard now. Snapfish has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Nair looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Snapfish trying to control the position from guard on top but Nair is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Snapfish is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee stands the fighters back up. Bobby Snapfish just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Nair shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Snapfish counters with a two punch combo. Nair has his takedown stuffed and Snapfish counters by clinching up. Bobby Snapfish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nomid Nair. A knee to the head by Snapfish.

Bobby Snapfish overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nair is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Snapfish has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Nair is thwarting Snapfish's attempts to control the position. Snapfish has one foot on Nair's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Snapfish darts in and clinches Nair up against the cage.

Nair tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nair's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Snapfish controlling from mount. Nomid Nair has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Snapfish tries to control but Nair wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Bobby Snapfish showed his dominance in that final round. Well Snapfish has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
