PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Pullford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Cacarot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cacarot has chosen ACDC - Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Bill Pullford has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Pullford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Cacarot!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pullford moves into the clinch successfully.
Pullford is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cacarot pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Pullford is trying to drag Cacarot to the mat but Cacarot just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Cacarot is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pullford is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cacarot to the mat. Cacarot regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Pullford drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pullford jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pullford is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Pullford seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cacarot for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pullford looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cacarot with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pullford is nestled in close to Cacarot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Pullford is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Cacarot's shoulder. That is not cool.
Cacarot takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Pullford lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cacarot down.
Bill Pullford overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pullford has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
