The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gracie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Young steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gracie.
Young throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A telegraphed right hand from Gracie misses the target.
Gracie cracks Young with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Gracie takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Young circles away.
Young moves away from the strike by Gracie.
Gracie takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Gracie throws out a loose jab but Young uses good head movement to avoid it.
Young scores with a nice right hand.
Young keeps Gracie at a distance using the push kick.

Young throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.

Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Young was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.

Young throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily.
Gracie looks to score with a jab to the body but Young is just out of range.

and Young counters with a big head kick but Gracie shrugs it off.

Young scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gracie doesn't seem bothered though.
Young defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gracie.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Young counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Young looks at the referee who does nothing so Young lands a crushing right that sends Gracie to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
