The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Svensson has managed to clinch.
Randreanaivo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Randreanaivo has Svensson pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Randreanaivo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Svensson tumbling to the mat - Randreanaivo dives into Svensson's guard. Randreanaivo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Svensson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Svensson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Svensson! Randreanaivo looking for a sweep but Svensson has passed into full mount! Oh no! Randreanaivo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Svensson has control of Randreanaivo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Randreanaivo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Randreanaivo tries to reverse the position but Svensson maintains control. Svensson tries to control but Randreanaivo wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randreanaivo is looking to improve his position but Svensson isn't that keen on the idea. Randreanaivo is working hard here to advance position. Svensson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Randreanaivo turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Svensson off and cradles Randreanaivo's limp body as Svensson celebrates with his corner.
