Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lee Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff John Gailfus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Marshall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jeff John Gailfus's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lee Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeff John Gailfus! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gailfus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gailfus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Marshall controls Gailfus momentarily but Gailfus frees himself. Marshall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gailfus thows a big elbow that misses. Gailfus tries to free his leg and advance position but Marshall is retaining full guard. Gailfus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Marshall is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Gailfus is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marshall pulls him back up using the underhooks. Gailfus creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Marshall gets underhooks to prevent Gailfus's takedown attempt.
Marshall drags the fight down to the ground.
Marshall is trying to keep Gailfus in close.
Marshall is really struggling to control Gailfus but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gailfus wants to control from the top but Marshall keeps moving. Gailfus has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marshall is proving hard to escape from. Gailfus preventing the sweep. Gailfus wants to pass the guard but Marshall is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gailfus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Gailfus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gailfus prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gailfus tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marshall just stands there and leans against the cage. Lee Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff John Gailfus.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gailfus looking to throw knees to the head but Marshall is blocking nicely.
Gailfus goes for a takedown attempt but Marshall pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marshall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gailfus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Gailfus manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Marshall moves into full mount! Gailfus won't be happy about that! Marshall looking to control but Gailfus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gailfus flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gailfus is trying desperately to improve position. Marshall can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gailfus is looking to escape. Gailfus tries to reverse the position but Marshall maintains control. Marshall looking to finish with strikes here!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gailfus can do anything to dispel that myth. Gailfus is desperately trying to improve his position but Marshall has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gailfus is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gailfus tries to hold on but Marshall postures up. Marshall with a couple of short strikes. Marshall working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Gailfus turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Marshall off and cradles Gailfus's limp body as Marshall celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Lee Marshall!
