Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between macuco piredda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magus Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows piredda to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
piredda pushing down on Black's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
piredda is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Black sees it coming and defends easily.
Black tries to get to full guard but piredda has control of the leg.
piredda is working for a kimura but Black is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

piredda wants to take a breather but Black is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Black misses with a body shot.

piredda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Black's waist but Black gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing piredda off to one side.
Black thumps piredda with a low kick.

piredda will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

piredda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Black's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Black misses with a leg kick
and piredda counters by moving into the clinch.
piredda putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Black in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Black stops a takedown attempt from piredda.
Black struggles to land a body shot inside as piredda controls his hands.

and piredda counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

piredda drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Black manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now piredda has Black in his guard.

Black is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

piredda wants to get back to his feet but Black is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now piredda is on top in guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Black is defending against the submission attempts here by piredda.
piredda decides to stand up.

Black on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by piredda. piredda obviously looking to wear him down.
Black leaves piredda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
piredda misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Black thows a leg kick but piredda checks it
and piredda counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by piredda.

piredda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Black can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Black can't find room to land a body shot as piredda controls the action.

Black is looking to advance position but piredda has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Black wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by piredda.

Black tries to hold on but piredda postures up.
piredda has isolated one of Black's arms. Black looking to fight him off but piredda twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
