Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Straight Shooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Hardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Straight Shooter! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Hardy misses. Shooter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hardy wants to get back to his feet.
Shooter should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hardy wants to get back to full guard but Shooter has passed into side control. Hardy working to try and regain half guard.
Shooter working the ground and pound effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shooter throws some wild stikes that Hardy manages to avoid easily.
Hardy is trying to escape the mount.
Shooter looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Hardy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shooter thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Shooter raining down shots from the mount! Hardy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hardy regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy is looking for a sweep. Shooter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Shooter lands strikes from half guard. Hardy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shooter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shooter's back! Hardy is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Shooter breaks Hardy's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hardy is on top in guard.
Hardy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hardy wants to pass the guard but Shooter is keeping the position. Shooter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hardy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Shooter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Shooter looks gassed! Shooter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hardy defends well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hardy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hardy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Straight Shooter dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hardy thows a body shot but no joy. Hardy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
It looks like Straight Shooter has been cut. Shooter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hardy. Hardy lands with a straight right. Shooter didn't see that one coming. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shooter gets a takedown into half guard. Hardy is trying to control but can't.
Shooter is breathing heavily. Hardy moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shooter trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Hardy manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hardy advances position into side control! Hardy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hardy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hardy wants to control but Shooter is keeping him busy. Hardy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hardy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shooter keeps working. Shooter is looking for a sweep. Hardy tries for a kimura but Shooter is defending well. Hardy is working to tighten is grip on Shooter's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Shooter has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hardy is really squeezing tight and eventually Shooter passes out! Hardy breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
