The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Perez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Perez tries a head kick but it misses.

Bravo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Bravo has gone for a leg lock! Perez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bravo's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bravo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Perez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Bravo goes for an armbar but Perez turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Perez.
