Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benn comes to the cage accompanied by Geto Boys - Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta. DJ Benn has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Power tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Power closes the distance and clinches up with Benn, looking for a takedown. Power pushes Benn against the cage but Benn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Benn. No joy for Power on that attempt.
A combination from Benn does no damage.
No luck for Power with that takedown attempt.
DJ Benn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Power.
Power fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Benn throws a right and a left that Power avoids nicely.
DJ Benn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crunch! Benn slams his shin into Power's torso.
Benn closes the distance and pushes Power back into the cage.
Benn breaks the clinch.
Benn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Power uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Benn.
Power showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Benn.
Benn gets a takedown into half guard.
Benn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Benn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Benn prevents Power from improving his position.

Benn wants to pass the guard but Power is keeping the position.
Power is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Benn slips nicely into half guard.
Benn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Power is trying to maintain the position but Benn is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Power tries for a takedown but Benn circles away easily
and Benn counters by moving into the clinch.
Benn cracks Power with a nice body shot.
Power looks gassed!
Power drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Benn gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Benn stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Power managing to block the knees to the body from Benn.
Benn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Power avoids it.
Power has Benn pushed against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Benn.
Benn lands a left hand.
Benn works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Benn lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Power.
Power blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Benn.
Power looking to stall.
Benn is leaning against Power and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Benn misses with a body punch.
Power on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Power looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Power fails to pull guard.
Power tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Power wants to get back to striking at distance but Benn won't allow it.
Power is trying to break free.
Benn trying to land knees to the body.

Power successfully pulls guard.
Benn with a flurry of punches that miss.
Benn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Benn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Power works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Power holds on and takes a little breather.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Power is on top in guard.
Power won't allow Benn to sweep him here.
Power got a little sloppy there for a moment and Benn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Power has managed to get both his arms back between Benn's legs - danger averted.
Power drops back, looking for a kneebar! Benn looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Benn looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Benn!
Power is trying to control Benn's posture but Benn avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DJ Benn dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Power fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Benn, pushing him back against the cage.
Power blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Benn is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Benn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Power avoids it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Power can't get the takedown.
Power is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Benn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Power jumps into guard, dragging Benn to the mat.
Benn postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Power is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Benn, into his guard.
Power content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Benn has locked up a guillotine! Benn's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Power is holding on here and Benn must be using up a lot of energy. Power has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Benn gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
