Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dragan Volchev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bailey Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragan Volchev had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bailey Evans! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans misses with a wild combination.
Volchev looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Evans shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Volchev is trying to defend but Evans finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Volchev tries to kick Evans off but Evans keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Volchev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Evans. Evans is figuring out what he wants to do next. Evans is trying to control. Volchev wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Evans lands strikes from half guard. Evans thows a huge punch but Volchev dodges it nicely.

Evans connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Volchev's hands. Evans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Volchev's guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Evans jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Evans working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Evans is looking to work some ground and pound but Volchev has wrist control. Volchev keeping full guard, as Evans tries to pass.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Evans changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Volchev looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Evans has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Volchev! Volchev taking shots to the head. Evans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volchev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Evans tries to control but Volchev wriggling away. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Evans cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Volchev takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Evans breaks from Volchev's wrist control and lands an elbow. Evans in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Evans working for a guillotine from mount but Volchev is in no mood to give up. Volchev is bucking up trying to escape but Evans cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Evans wants to finish this one by submission but Volchev is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Evans. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Evans cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Evans darts in and clinches Volchev up against the cage. Evans fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Evans turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Evans manages to end up in side control. Evans working the head with strikes. Evans tries to score with some ground and pound. Volchev controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Evans scoring with punches from side control. Evans working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Evans thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Evans lands some shots froms side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Evans pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Evans can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Volchev is looking to escape. Evans landing strikes from the mount and Volchev is in trouble! Evans trying to control but he's not successful this time. Evans with a couple of short strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Evans is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Evans fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Volchev, pushing him back against the cage. Evans jumps into guard, dragging Volchev to the mat.
Evans is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Volchev is controlling him. Evans is adopting a defensive guard. Evans's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Volchev being controlled here momentarily. Evans has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Volchev off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Evans decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Evans is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
