The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in and drives through. Taranov sprawls well.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Taranov.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taranov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Smith throws a combination that misses
and Taranov counters with a nice low kick that buckles Smith's knee momentarily.
Smith looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taranov lands a nice looking body kick.
Taranov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Smith looks up at the clock. Bad move! Taranov lands a right hand from hell, dropping Smith. Taranov pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
