Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taras Salo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Rossija (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salo comes into the arena with Tol-Odinochestvo blaring out of the sound system. Taras Salo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taras Salo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Rossija! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salo forces Rossija back against the cage and clinches. Rossija has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rossija wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Salo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rossija is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rossija wants to get back to striking at distance but Salo won't allow it.
A frustrated look appears on Rossija's face as he tries to break the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Rossija. Rossija pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rossija is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rossija throws a series of punches but Salo avoids them all with ease. Rossija throws a nice looking combination but Salo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rossija connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Taras Salo has been cut. Alexander Rossija seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salo slips a jab and a cross from Rossija.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rossija checks a leg kick. Salo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rossija looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salo wants to stand but Rossija has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rossija has one foot on Salo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rossija lands with a straight right. Salo didn't see that one coming. Salo throws a nice looking combination but Rossija bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A big right followed by a crushing left from Rossija knocks Salo out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alexander Rossija!
