Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Gill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gill's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Welcome to the Jungle. Jeffrey Gill could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Juan Ramirez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeffrey Gill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gill swings away with a leg kick that misses. Gill fails to land the takedown. Gill throws a sloppy head kick and Ramirez moves out of range easily. Ramirez misses with the combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gill is defended easily by Ramirez. Gill showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ramirez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramirez looks for the body kick but Gill saw that one coming. No luck for Gill with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeffrey Gill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gill dives in and grabs Ramirez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramirez pushes down on Gill's head and hops out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gill shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramirez sprawls well. He's pushed Gill's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ramirez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gill won't allow Ramirez to sweep him here. Ramirez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gill tries to free his leg and advance position but Ramirez is retaining full guard. Gill is pushing down on Ramirez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ramirez is fighting to maintain full guard but Gill has managed to sneak the leg through. Ramirez is pressing down on Gill's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ramirez doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gill trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramirez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gill forces his way into half guard. Gill prevents Ramirez from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gill trying to control the action but Ramirez is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gill throws a leg kick which misses Ramirez's front leg but catches the back leg as Ramirez tries to avoid it. Ramirez looks gassed! Some wild striking there from Ramirez.
Gill throws a push kick but Ramirez slaps the foot to one side. Ramirez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gill drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Ramirez trying to control the position.
Gill slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gill tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gill working the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gill wants to control but Ramirez is keeping him busy. Gill working away. Gill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ramirez keeps working. Ramirez striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gill is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ramirez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gill in side control, throwing shots but Ramirez defends. Ramirez wants to control but Gill postures up. Gill wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ramirez, who protects the arm well. Ramirez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ramirez is pressing down on Gill's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gill thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gill tries to free his leg and advance position but Ramirez is retaining full guard. Gill distracts Ramirez with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ramirez scores with a nice shot. Gill stopping the sweep attempt from Ramirez. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ramirez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ramirez throws a leg kick and Gill counters with a shoot takedown. Ramirez fights it but they end up in guard. Ramirez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ramirez striking off his back but it's not causing Gill any problems. Ramirez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gill is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gill is squirming around, avoiding Ramirez's attempts to control the action. Gill manages to regain half guard. Good work. Ramirez working Gill over with strikes. Gill gets back to full guard.
Gill utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ramirez wants to control from the top but Gill keeps moving. Ramirez is looking to work some ground and pound but Gill has wrist control. Gill is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramirez defends well. Juan Ramirez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A low kick from Gill is predictable there and Ramirez counters with a three punch combo that has Gill backing up. Gill nods at Ramirez to acknowledge the strikes. Gill fails with the takedown and Ramirez counters with a one-two to the body. Gill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gill closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Gill is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gill not doing much here.
Gill throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ramirez wants to get back to full guard but Gill has passed into side control. Ramirez tries to hold on but Gill pushes him away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ramirez is trying desperately to improve position. Ramirez is squirming around, avoiding Gill's attempts to control the action. Ramirez tries to hold on but Gill pushes him away. Ramirez is trying desperately to improve position. Gill looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ramirez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Ramirez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ramirez manages to kick Gill off! Gill jumps back into Ramirez's guard. Ramirez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gill is one step ahead there. Ramirez punching from the bottom - just letting Gill know he's still in a fight. Gill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gill preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gill drops back looking for a leg! Ramirez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ramirez manages to kick Gill off! Gill jumps back into Ramirez's guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ramirez sprawls well. Ramirez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gill gets slowly back to his feet. Gill checks a low kick from Ramirez. Gill moves out of range of the body kick. Gill scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ramirez tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gill is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ramirez has escaped the position, nice work there. Ramirez is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ramirez tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gill presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Gill is in the full mount, landing strikes. Gill sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Gill fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Gill misses with a takedown and Ramirez counters with a good low kick that Gill was not able to check. Gill gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ramirez counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gill's knee momentarily. Gill shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ramirez counters with a two punch combo. An inside leg kick lands from Gill. Gill misses with a takedown attempt and Ramirez makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeffrey Gill showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
