Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Flash!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams stalks Flash and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Flash's face. Flash staggers backwards, shaken.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Flash should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Flash but Flash pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Flash gets the takedown into side control.
Flash trying to control the action but Williams is working from the bottom.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Flash has eaten all the pies!
Williams holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Williams is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Flash is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Williams can't do much from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Flash wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.
Williams is looking for a sweep.
Flash tries to move to mount but Williams blocks the move with his legs.
Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Flash on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Williams throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Flash was covering up waiting for the punch and Williams finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Williams is stalling in the full guard.
Flash controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself.
Williams will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Flash is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Williams not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Flash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flash is keeping the position for now.

Flash throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Flash tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Williams paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Flash shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Williams counters with a body kick that stops Flash in his tracks momentarily.
Flash looks gassed!
Williams scores with a shot to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Williams.
Flash tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily
and Williams counters with a nice body shot.

Williams clinches up against the cage.

Williams has clasped his hands together around Flash's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Williams gets to mount! Flash was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Flash is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Williams dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Williams shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Flash counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ben Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Flash avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Williams throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Flash looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Williams darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Williams sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Williams trying to control from Flash's half guard. Flash has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Flash keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Flash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Williams is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Flash's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Flash's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams gets his hands free as Flash looks to control.
Williams has good solid back control here.

A lull in the action here.
Williams biding his time, controlling Flash.
Flash wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Williams not allowing Flash to control his hands.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Williams throwing damaging strikes from the back! Flash could be in trouble here!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Williams dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Flash misses with a takedown attempt
and Williams counters with an outside leg kick.

Williams pushes Flash up against the cage in a clinch.

Williams gets a trip takedown into half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Williams lands a nice short elbow.
Flash takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Williams looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Williams postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Flash to stand up.

Williams gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Williams decides to pull guard.
Williams wants to get back to his feet but Flash is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Flash trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
Williams has Flash pulled in close to control his posture.
Williams on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Williams tries to get out of the position.
Williams is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Flash being controlled here momentarily.
Ben Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ben Williams just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Flash fails with the takedown

and Williams counters by clinching up.

Williams misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Flash counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Williams!

Well, if Flash is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Flash seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Williams does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Flash is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Williams is trying to get back to full guard.
Williams is not content to let Flash control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Williams cracks Flash with a nice body shot.

Williams wants the takedown. Flash is fighting it off but Williams persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Flash's guard against the cage.
Flash wants to stand but Williams is controlling the position.
Williams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Flash is proving hard to escape from.

Billy Flash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Williams decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ben Williams showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Williams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
