Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sean Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Little Guy!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn stuffs the takedown attempt from Guy. Guy gets slowly back to his feet.
Penn throws a nice outside leg kick.
Penn misses with a head kick.
Penn throws a sloppy head kick and Guy moves out of range easily.
Guy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Penn shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Penn showed some decent athleticism there.

Penn seems to be looking for submissions.
Penn prevents Guy from improving his position.

Penn decides to return to a standing position.

Penn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Penn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Guy is desperately trying to improve his position but Penn has a good base and remains in mount.
Guy wants to control but Penn is having none of it.
Guy looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Guy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Penn is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Guy is surviving well by controlling Penn's body position as best he can.

Penn is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Penn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Guy can't escape the position.

Penn looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Guy bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Guy passes Penn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Guy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Guy keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Guy is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Guy trying to pass the guard but Penn defending well.
Guy works his way into full mount!
Penn's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Penn sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Penn wants to control but Guy is keeping busy.
Penn pushes Guy off looking to stand but Guy dives back in and keeps control.
Penn is trying to get back to full guard.
Penn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Guy is working away from the top position though.
Penn won't allow Guy to pass to mount.
Guy prevents Penn from improving his position.

Penn looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Guy scores with a takedown into Penn's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Penn is trying to keep Guy in close.

Guy drops back looking for a leg! Penn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Penn manages to kick Guy off! Guy jumps back into Penn's guard.
Guy is in close to Penn's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Guy pushes down on Penn's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Guy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Guy looking for a guillotine from mount but Penn is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Guy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Penn manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Guy stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sean Penn will probably get the nod.
That's time! Penn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Penn!
Guy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Penn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Guy keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully.

Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Guy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Penn stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Penn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Guy!
Guy sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Penn working Guy over with strikes.
Penn wants to pass the guard but Guy is defending well.

Penn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Guy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Penn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Penn's back!
Guy trying to control momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penn turns into Guy and is now in his guard.
Penn makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Guy wants to sweep here but Penn controlling him for the moment.
Guy is breathing heavily.
Guy has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Penn has passed into side control.
Guy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Guy gets full guard.
Penn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Guy's guard.
Guy is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Penn decides to stand up.
Guy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Guy checks the leg kick nicely there.
Penn tries to clinch but Guy moves out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Guy checks a leg kick.
Guy stuffs the takedown.
Some bone on bone action there as Guy checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Guy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Penn circles away.
Penn stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Guy.

and Penn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Sean Penn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Guy throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Penn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Penn wants to control from the top but Guy keeps moving.
Penn advances position into side control!
Penn is looking to take a break and control but Guy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Penn works to advance to full mount. Guy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Penn is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Penn throws the kick towards the body but Guy avoids it.

Penn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Penn lands a decent elbow from side control.
Penn advances to full mount.
Penn forces the positional change into back control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn lands shots from the back.
Guy can't escape the position.
Penn doesn't have the hooks in and Guy manages to turn into his guard.
Guy trying to control the position from guard on top but Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Guy sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Guy thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Guy passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Guy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean Penn dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

and Guy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Penn won't be happy with that.

Guy has hold of Penn's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Penn tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Guy cranks the arm and Penn screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Penn, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Little Guy!
